7 Normandy D-Day Museums you must see

D-Day on 6 June 1944 was the date of the World War II landing operations in Normandy, France, and marked the start of European liberation from Nazi German occupation.

There are hosts of D-Day museums throughout Normandy that offer a wealth of information and artefacts to give understanding about events at this time. These include:

Musée du Débarquement

This was the first museum created as a historic commemoration of D-Day and the Normandy landing and is situated overlooking the remnants of Mulberry B Harbour.

This museum is situated on the Normandy beaches and pays tribute to the Canadian troops involved in the landings.

Musee Radar

This is a museum devoted to the part played by radar technology in the landings and is situated on the site of the former observation station at Douvres-la-Délivrande.
